BEFORE THE PROPERTY VISIT

A clearer picture.
A more useful assessment.

Gather the details below so we can plan a focused visit and discuss your property with you.

1. Share the property and contact details

Send your town, property type and the name of the person who can arrange access. Let us know whether you are the owner, an authorised representative or a tenant, and who can approve the assessment and any work.

2. Take three useful views

If safely accessible, take a wide view showing where the problem sits, a close-up of the affected finish, and an exterior view of the same area. Keep enough surrounding detail to show windows, ground levels, gutters or nearby fittings. You can attach the photographs in WhatsApp.

3. Note the pattern and history

Record when you first noticed the problem, whether it changes after rain, wind, showers or water use, and whether it seems persistent. Keep details of previous repairs, replastering, painting, plumbing work or changes to paving and garden levels.

4. Describe access and existing information

Tell us about locked areas, occupied rooms, pets, tenant arrangements and visiting times. Keep any plans, previous reports, product information or guarantee documents available for the assessment.

5. Mention active leaks and specialist concerns

Tell us if water is currently running or dripping, if a pipe or fitting may be leaking, or if roof access, concealed construction or structural movement is involved. The appropriate investigation and any specialist attendance can then be discussed.

6. Confirm the visit arrangements

We agree the visit time, available access and any assessment or travel fees with you before attendance. Your written quotation sets out the proposed work, price and installation arrangements.

7. Know what happens next

The assessment brings together the findings, any further checks and the proposed repair scope. The quotation explains preparation, treatment, reinstatement, exclusions and installation terms before work begins.

Take photographs from ground level or another safely accessible position. Leave climbing and opening finishes to the assessment plan.
